OMG I’ve been so busy it’s not even funny anymore! You see, October is the most important month for anything that has to do with interior design and art and my inbox is overflowing with invitations and it’s very difficult to choose. Poor me! Still, these are three events I’m definitely going to this fall. Let’s start with the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam!

Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam 2016 – I am so going!

As you may or may not know, I write a monthly blogpost for Kunstuitleen Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ best art rental places. Art shouldn’t be expensive – it should be affordable! And that is exactly why the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam is right up my proverbial alley. BTW, if you’ve always wanted to find out where to hang art in your home, make sure to check out this fun blogpost over on the Affordable Art Fair blogpage! You can visit the Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam between the 27th and 30th of October.

Dutch Design Week 2016

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. And no you silly, I’m not talking about Christmas. Dutch Design Week is coming up and I’m very happy to be part of the superdooper international press tour. I spent some time browsing on the DDW website this afternoon and ended up totally flabbergasted at the sheer size of this event. One exhibition at Dutch Design Week I am especially looking forward to is Envisions. I was totally into their show in Milan earlier this year – very colorful and experimental.  I met up with Simone Post, who is one of the designers in this cool collective, and this very talented 25-year old is now my new best friend.

Et voila…a sneak preview of the Envisions exhibition at Dutch Design Week. Can’t wait to see it!

Big Art

Well, well…looky here! A new art event by the Netherlands’ best curator Anne van der Zwaag! It’s called Big Art and – no prizes for guessing – will be all about supersized works of art. You can’t go wrong, right? The lineup is pretty impressive with installations by Hans van Bentem, Mae Engelgeer, Isaac Monté and many, many more. You can visit Big Art from November 19th until November 27th and the former Diamantbeurs in Amsterdam – sweet!
