A major departure for the Woonbeurs exhibition stand of the biggest interior design magazine in the Netherlands. VTWonen has raised a spectacular two-storey barn that is definitely worth a visit. I was there earlier this week and was amazed by the new direction the magazine is going in. Much like other brands and magazines, they seem to be moving away from the easy (dare I say, lazy) interior design principle of ‘white walls and floor with colorful accessories’ to something more meaningful and less Hay-esque.
The VTWonen barn celebrates the return of forgotten crafts and professions such as bread baking, wood working and ceramics. Best of all, they even have a functioning traditional barber shop in the exhibition stand. So good to see that men are now also part of the target audience!
PS: Today is the last day of the Woonbeurs interior design fair in Amsterdam!
