Is there anything Victoria Koblenko cannot do? I’ve been staring blankly at my laptop screen for the last few hours, desperately trying to come up with an answer. And for the life of me, I cannot think of a single thing. This woman embodies perfection. With a capital ‘P’ and a little heart over the ‘i’. You see, over the last decade, Victoria has been gracing television screens all over the Netherlands as a soap actress and as a presenter of a sex and drugs education show called Spuiten en Slikken – which roughly translates as ‘Needles and Swallowing’ or ‘Squirting and Swallowing’. It’s a bit of a pun, as you can see.
All this invaluable experience, of course, makes Victoria Koblenko uniquely qualified to suddenly develop her own line of paint. In a move that is so incredibly brilliant I’m not even sure I understand it, Dutch paint manufacturer Flexa announced this week that they have given Koblenko ‘one hundred per cent freedom to come up with her own range of colors that will be launched this summer. ‘Color is emotion. That makes the choice of a color or color combination so incredibly personal’, she said not two weeks after experimenting with Ritalin on Dutch TV.
