If I ever make a sh*tload of money, the first thing I’ll do is buy one of those awesome bedspreads by Dutch artist and designer Fransje Killaars. But wait a second, Mr. Interiorator – I hear you say. Didn’t hundreds of thousands of people distincly see a hot pink and orange checquered Fransje Killaars bedspread on your bed in the June 2014 issue of VTWonen? Well…um…yes – but to be honest, I borrowed it especially for the photoshoot and at the time couldn’t afford to buy it yet. Which was a total shame because it looked friggin’ fantabulous and I felt terrible when I had to return it the day after. Oh well…I guess I’ll have to fake it until I make it right?
It all came back to me when I saw Fransje and her bedspreads two weeks ago at Object Rotterdam. The 2015 edition of this art and design exhibition was held at the legendary SS Rotterdam and Fransje had one beautiful Mid-Century Modern cabin all to herself.

Now, as you can see the special super dooper Fransje Killaars was kind of cramped and very crowded, I wasn’t able to take too many pictures. And so for good measure, I’ve thrown in some pictures and a video of her bedspreads I’ve found on the internets. Here you go!
And then of course there were the pictures I took at the 2014 edition of Object Rotterdam – as you can see the sometimes the colors on the bedspread popped so loudly my camera couldn’t handle it. Phew!
