If it’s good enough for Beyoncé and Jay Z, it’s good enough for me! You see, next month I’m going to follow in their footsteps and eat vegan for thirty days. No meat, no dairy, no animal ingredients. Luckily, I won’t be alone since there will be about four thousand people joining me for April’s national Vegan Challenge. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love meat! Give me a big, juicy rare steak and I’m a happy man. What made me think, however, was a movie called Forks over Knives that I saw on Netflix a while ago. Of course, I already knew that most farm animals aren’t exactly treated well and that eating meat isn’t exactly good for the environment. I did, however, think that meat is an essential part of a healthy diet. Well, surprise! It ain’t. Or at least that was the central theme of Forks over Knives. So, starting April 1st, I’m going vegan. For one month. I didn’t know if I would share this with you. I don’t want to preach – I mean, who am I? I don’t even know myself how I feel in a few weeks time. But as I walked through Rotterdam Central Station this morning and saw that literally every single food place had a billboard advertising meat, I made up my mind. I’m going to do this and I’m going to tell you how it goes. And for now I’m going to share with you the pictures I took this morning in less than five minutes. Crazy, isn’t it?
