It’s new York at its New Yorkiest – The Kips Bay Decorator Show House. Never heard of it until this weekend. And now I want to go there. Badly. But alas, I’ll have to wait until May next year for the next edition. You see, every year the best interior designers of New York transform an apartment into this super elegant exhibition of furniture and art. It all looks frightfully chique and for a mere thirty-five dollars you, too can take a look and support a good cause at the same time. Very handy verstandy – as we say in Dutch.
As I sit here writing this blogpost by the way, I find it kind of funny how my own taste has evolved since I started writing this blog. Not three years ago, I was mostly into sleek, contemporary design. But nowadays, I’m more into the kind of elegant frou frou stuff you see here (with a modern twist, I hastily add).
I’d love to hear from you – how has your taste in interior design developed over the years? Let me know in the Facebook comments section!
