So, someone asked me last week at the opening of the new Timothy Oulton shop, are you going to Maison & Objet next month? The thought hadn’t crossed my mind yet. I tend to avoid furniture fairs. They tend to be busy and boring – and before you get back home to write a blogpost, at least a dozen other bloggers beat you to it with the exact same pictures. A cool city trip, however, is something else. I got these beautiful pictures of the new Sarah Lavoine Boutique in Paris last night that are calling out to me: Interiorator, please come to Paris ASAP. Long story short: I’m definitely maybe going to Paris after all.
Now, as you may or may not know, Sarah Lavoine is this great interior designer and the new boutique you see here is her second one in Paris. Sarah started out at the interior design agency of her mother, Sabine Marchal, where – and I love this quote from the press release – she received a strict training. And as you can see, it definitely paid off. It’s all very Parisian bon chic bon genre – but with a modern Abigail Ahern-ish twist. I particularly love the combination of the black walls with the pink curtains and the horizontal blue line that runs through the shop – very cool stuff indeed.
You can find the new Sarah Lavoine Boutique on 28, rue du Bac in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
