What better way to end a great day in Groningen with some great Groningen grub? My tour of this northern Dutch city ended at Flinders Cafe, the hottest hotspot in town that opened last April. It wasn’t easy to get a reservation, but I managed to secure the very last table for the night. And I’m glad I did!
You see, Flinders Cafe is located in an historic pavilion in the middle of Noorderplantsoen Park – what a great place for a restaurant! And as you can see, the new interior is a well-thought out mix of old and new. The food was equally excellent. We both had some delicious traditional Dutch asparagus with ham and eggs served with Pinot Grigio. And did I mention service was great?
Flinders also has a great restaurant in Amsterdam’s Frederik Hendrikplantsoen by the way. Go to www.flinderscafe.nl for details.
PS: Did you know Interiorator also has an excellent Facebook page with even more exclusive stuff?
