Faïencerie Georges

Sometimes you don’t have to come up with new ideas – you just have to combine two existing patterns and take them one step further. Faïencerie Georges have done just that with their Grue series which consists of a series of plates that together form a huge construction crane. I also love their other plates that are adorned with scenes of contemporary life: factories, churches, skiers and a even a DJ.

You can order the Grue series here for 6,000 euros (the link goes to a phone number – très quaint and rustic – so you’d better start practicing your French). The Service Pont series – similar in concept with a bridge – will set you back only 550 euros.
