Exciting times ahead! As you have noticed, I’ve been putting a lot of effort in Interiorator over the last couple of months. And all that hard work is finally paying off! My blog is getting noticed by traditional magazines and I get to meet extremely cool people (hello Gert Voorjans, Abigail Ahern, Elle Decoration, Pastoe, Modenus and Modiste!). Best of all, I get to create my own exclusive content – not just for Interiorator, but also for Dutch luxury department store de Bijenkorf, who now publish a weekly blogpost written by yours truly.
There are two things going on in my life that I want to share with you. First, the biggest and best magazine publisher of the Netherlands Sanoma is now helping me to give Interiorator a much-needed makeover. This new layout will make things better for you and me. Bigger images, snazzier features and – finally – advertisements that will enable me to invest more money in creating even better content.
Another great leap forward I’ll be making this year is a part time teaching assignment at the renowned Artemis Academy in Amsterdam. From September, I’ll be teaching first-year interior, fashion and media styling students about image and image composition.
My creative journey began about five years ago with a short course in creative writing with my good friend Michel. I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished and I’m very, very grateful to my loving husband Patrick (yes, we have the same name!) who was there along the way when things got difficult. Without him, I would not have come so far.
Have a great week and become who you are!
