Edith Lundebrekke’s Multi Meander Stripes

Everybody, I’d like you to meet my new favorite artist! I’m a sucker for stripes as you may know and it should come as no surprise that I fell head over heels for these paintings by Edith Lundebrekke when I was at Ventura Lambrate in Milan two week ago. “Interaction and colour are key elements in Lundebrekke’s art. She is intrigued by the fact that light and shadow, in interaction with the environment and the spectator, create fluctuating visual experiences. Ambiguity occurs through perceptual and optical effects, and manipulates the spectator’s perception of surface, depth and colour,” it says on Edith’s website and I couldn’t have put it better myself.

I have an interesting Sunday ahead with a photoshoot at my friend Olivier’s apartment. I wrote a blogpost once about his ultracool Instagram photo’s he took when he worked in Rome for a while. And then tomorrow I’m going to Amsterdam for a cocktail brunch at the Andaz Hotel to celebrate King’s Day – thanks for the invite, Ruinart!

Have a nice Sunday everyone and don’t forget to check out my Instagram account if you want know what else I’m up to!
