Empty walls. Don’t you just hate them? I know I do. Most of the time, I use rental art to give a wall a little more pizzazz. If you’re looking for something a little more functional though, you might consider these new customizable Dockfour Stylepads. I first saw them a couple of weeks ago during a presentation at one of my favorite PR agencies in Amsterdam. Now, I have to say I’ve become very picky when it comes to buying new stuff my own apartment. It took me years (literally) to find just the right shade of blue for my walls and ceilng. And although I do dabble in rental art, I have to be totally convinced when I actually buy something new. The Dockfour Stylepads, I’m glad to report, may just make the cut. Let me show you this brief video that explains everything about Dockfour.
Okay, so this morning I took an hour on my train to Amsterdam to design my own perfect Dockfour Stylepad combo. Since my walls are blue, I decided to go for maximum contrast with orange stylepads in different materials – felt, velours, jeans. You name it, they’ve got it. In fact, because I had so many materials to choose from, I skipped the My Picture Stylepad option entirely and go for maximum color. I also added lots of storage space for all the stuff I have laying around – books, magazines, postcards, pictures that tickle my fancy. Looks pretty cool, right? And the great thing is, it only took me about half an hour to design it. Very tempting to order the entire thing right then and there, but as you may know I’ve been working on my frustration skills so I saved my design for later. And then last but not least, I downloaded it and with a little help from Photoshop I now know what I will be saving up for over the next couple of months.
I did it my way with Dockfour Stylepads! But what about you? What would your ideal Dockfour Stylepads combo look like? There are so many different options to choose from that I bet you can come up with something cool in a New York minute! You can get started right here.
