It is the Interiorator trifecta of perfection: interior design, bold patterns and American Studies (which by the way, is my original background). The excellentAdelphi Paper Hangings draft antique wallpaper designs from the 18th, 19th and 20th century directly from the archives of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Historic New England or the Smithsonian Institution. In most cases, this envolves piecing together fragmented, faded, and damaged patterns and restoring them to their former glory. The results, as you can see, are stunning and provide a fascinating look into the history of wallpaper design.
I’ve included pictures of my favorite patterns, but if you go towww.adelphipaperhangings.com, you’ll find many, many more great wallpapers to choose from.
PS: I just found out that there are only two companies in Europe that sell Adelphi. One of them is De Mooiste Muren the Dutch town of Haarlem. Definitely worth checking out, they have a great selection of my favorite brand and their store looks great.
Have a great Tuesday and don’t forget to follow Interiorator on Facebook if you aren’t doing so already! You’ll get all the latest news and some exclusive extra’s!
